Advanced Reporting and Business Intelligence
In addition to 230 highly configurable Crystal reports – covering everything
from debtors and stock levels to P&L and Balance Sheets, Access management
reports benefit from a built-in Business Intelligence system, Executive
Desktop.
Executive Desktop
Now you can give every one of your staff immediate access to the information
they really need, with precisely tailored reports that are updated
automatically and delivered instantly. Field-based staff can receive the same
reports by e-mail, helping them to be 100% up-to-date and professional when
dealing with customers and suppliers. All reports provide powerful drill-down,
for example, view turnover by territory and drill-down into product type and
sales person, or instantly flip things around and begin your analysis by
looking at your sales people.
When you need to investigate a specific piece of information in detail,
Executive Desktop can instantly deliver an interactive on-screen summary.
Executive Desktop Alerts
Executive Desktop also provides you with automated business alerts. These not
only warn your staff when significant events occur (such as customers exceeding
their credit limits or items going out of stock) but can also e-mail all the
relevant information, within seconds.
You decide which types of event trigger the alerts, who receives them and any
criteria that should be used to filter the alerts received:

New order entered (sales or purchase).
If an account is on stop or terms have been exceeded, you need to take
immediate action. Use alerts to warn staff that intervention is needed.
Access Crystal Design (ACD)
When it comes to traditional printed reporting, you have two highly functional
alternatives. You can generate pre-configured ('hard-coded') reports at will,
or choose from over 230 user-configurable Crystal reports. You can quickly and
easily customise each one of these reports to your exact requirements: selected
fields can be added, moved or deleted and company graphics can be added.
This gives you complete control over the look, feel and content of your
management reports. Anyone with knowledge of Crystal can make the changes and
you do not lose your settings each time the software is upgraded. The Access
Crystal Report suite runs alongside our range of standard, hard-coded reports
and you can swap from one to the other within seconds.
The transactional forms produced by Dimensions are also developed in Crystal.
This gives you total control over order confirmations, invoices, remittances,
delivery notes... in fact, every printed document that you rely upon to
communicate with your customers and suppliers can be formatted as you - or they
- require.
